Liliane Sibonney,
27 year old chef of Kensingtons, in Kensington Market Toronto won first place for
Canada in the Canadian Pizza Magazines Chef of the Year Challenge. A competition
similar to the popular television show Iron Chef. Her first place prize was a chance
to go to Las Vegas Nevada in March 2007 to compete against 5 other countries. Usa,
Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, and Italy went up against Liliane Sibonney in
a 90 min. challenge using the same 34 italian ingredients in the Italian Chef Wars.
Liliane Sibonney also proved herself in Las Vegas, taking home first place, and
a chance to compete again in 2008 International pizza expos Italian Chef Wars. Liliane
Sibonney loves her Berghoff knives aswell as cookware. She says that the difference
between a professional and an amateur is skill and tools!
